Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer Andy Childs scored several chart hits and music videos as a solo artist for RCA Records in the 1990s, then formed the super-group SIXWIRE and recorded more hits and videos for Warner Brothers Records. Sixwire was recently featured on American Idol’s AMERICAN BAND on FOX Television, and is the featured band on CMT’s CAN YOU DUET. Andy Childs tours year-round, all over the world, performing solo and with Sixwire. Specializing in convention entertainment and corporate events, Andy’s client list includes Fedex, Nike, Disney, Sun Micro, Trustmark, Merle Norman, and countless others.
He has opened for Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels Band, and many other top country stars. Currently, Andy Childs is traveling and performing with his Memphis and Nashville-based back-up band.
When not touring, Andy Childs resides in Nashville, Tennessee. His time at home in Nashville is spent writing songs and producing recording projects. Andy’s songs have been recorded by Nashville artists Chris Cagle, George Canyon, Blackhawk and others, as well as several artists in Europe. Andy often performs around Nashville at song-writer clubs like the famous Bluebird Cafe, and frequently tours around the country performing his solo-acoustic show.

A member of the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Richard’s penning of “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” sent him to the Country Music Association award stage to take home the prize for Song of the Year in 1978, as well as a Grammy for Best Country Song. In fourteen trips to the Top Ten with hits he has written or co-written, including recordings by Kathy Mattea, Steve Wariner, Crystal Gayle, Guy Clark, and Ray Charles, eight have become #1 singles.
